Health & Safety Information

The California State Association of Counties (CSAC) continues to prioritize the health and safety of our members, as we gather together this November.  We understand that there are members and participants who may be concerned about the spread of COVID-19 and all attendees are welcome to continue to take precautions such as wearing a mask indoors. Please note that under current State guidelines, masks are strongly recommended indoors. CSAC encourages all Annual Meeting participants to follow the guidelines for face coverings and safety set by The California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Should changes be made to CSAC's Health and Safety Policy for the Conference, all participants will be notified via email.

UPDATE 08/19/2022: Orange County strongly recommends residents and visitors mask when indoors or in a public setting to minimize the spread of COVID-19.  See link below for full details of Orange County's Health Orders and Recommendations.

Every participant – attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and staff – plays a critical role in mitigating the risk of COVID-19. CSAC appreciates your assistance in collectively contributing to a safe and healthy environment by adhering to the health and safety measures at this Meeting.

  • Masks are encouraged in all indoor spaces during the 2022 Annual Meeting. Participants are encouraged to bring their own masks; however, masks and tests supplies will be made available to those who wish to use them. Hand sanitizer stations will also be positioned throughout the meeting spaces.

Additional Tips

CSAC encourages all participants to:

  • Use social distancing and forgo forms of close physical contact. Be particularly mindful in areas where it may be harder to keep this distance, such as check-in areas and routes of entry and exit.
  • Be mindful of hygiene measures – proper handwashing, sneezing into your arm or a tissue, and other hygiene methods.
  • Evaluate your own health and that of people you are in close contact with. Persons who have tested positive for COVID-19, are waiting for COVID-19 test results, experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or who have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for, or who has symptoms of COVID-19, should not attend the conference.

Given the nature of COVID-19, CSAC cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to or contracting COVID-19 regardless of the care taken to avoid such risks. CSAC is counting on everyone who attends to conduct themselves in a manner that creates a safe environment for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to an exciting  2022 Annual Meeting!
