We’ve heard time and time again that the opportunities for networking are perhaps the biggest perks of attending CSAC meetings. Since it’s been a while since we’ve been able to network in person, we’ve figured out a way to make it happen virtually. Join CSAC for a Zoom “Mingler” event to connect with your county colleagues on a more personal level. This facilitated, online event is designed so that participants can expand their circles, reconnect, learn new things and have fun. Host Saya Hillman has been called the “Accessible Oprah” and her Mac & Cheese Productions? Minglers are expertly and welcomingly curated gatherings. All attendees are asked to actively participate and be on video. Have on hand a pen, some paper and a willingness to say yes.
Time
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Building market-rate and affordable housing has become increasingly expensive in jurisdictions across California and developers and local governments often have to work together to make it possible for housing projects to pencil out. This workshop will provide counties with an overview of how affordable housing is created and financed and will include a discussion on the creative financing strategies key players often use in order to make housing projects come together by combining multiple funding sources.

Resilience is the art of bouncing back.  But now, it’s time to start leaping forward and be prepared for the next chapter.  Or be READY for the next chapter. Or what comes next. Or even what might be coming. Readiness asks us to anticipate and reimagine our new world and be intentional about how to shape it.  Focusing first on the human factor and the health and safety of employees, this workshop will examine what counties should consider when they start the complex task of returning virtual employees to the workplace and creating the workplace of the future.
